Taking accurate measurements and choosing the right size
Reading and understanding a commercial sewing pattern
Sewing pockets, elasticated waistbands and cuffs
Working with stretch fabric
Finishing seams neatly and professionally
Hemming, fitting tips and more!
Each week, we’ll work through a new stage of the joggers together — and at the end of the course, you’ll have a finished pair of handmade joggers to wear (and show off!).

🧵 What you’ll need to bring:
You’ll need to bring your own fabric, elastic and thread (Check out the pictures for the fabric requirements — so you can make joggers that really suit your style and fit your wardrobe. Don’t worry, I’ll send you a full materials list after booking, including tips on the best fabric to buy (and where to find it affordably).

SKILL LEVEL - Experienced Beginner
SEWING MACHINES - Bring your own machine! Each sewing machine has subtle differences and learning on your own machine means you will build confidence using your machine and learn how to adjust its settings for different makes and purposes. Don’t worry if you don’t have or can’t bring your own machine, I have machines available for people to use during the workshops. Just select the option to borrow one at checkout.
WHERE’S IT AT - Workshops are held in my studio at Shed 11, Unit 2, Murray Road, Greystones, S11 7GH. Spaces are limited to 6 for each workshop to ensure you get individual attention, time to ask questions and any help and support you need during the class (and the halftime biscuits go further!).
