Part 2 - Different Fabrics Different Needles!

So, are their times when you should change your sewing machine needle when nothing has gone wrong with it?

The short answer is, yes! There are a multitude of different needles out there that work well when you are sewing with different types of fabric. For example, if you are sewing with fine fabric, you’ll want a fine sewing machine needle; If you are sewing with jersey or stretch fabric you’ll want a stretch or ball point needle; If you are sewing with heavy duty fabrics such as denim you’ll want a heavy duty needle and if you are sewing with a specialist fabric such as leather, you’ll want a needle designed for that fabric!

Never underestimate the joy of sewing a fabric with the correct needle! It can totally change the experience!
